On the 6th of November 2021, we visited the Independent Living Centre (ILC) NPO in SHAP stadium Soweto, Gauteng.

The organization is a registered NPO that seeks to serve the disadvantaged community of people with disabilities in Gauteng.

The organization has more than 200 beneficiaries, including : children, youth, adults and senior citizens.

There organisation is run by five full  time staff and thirty part time staff, responsible for hospital visits and home visits. Funding is from Gauteng DSD.

We thoroughly enjoyed spending some quality time with the residents and We not only donated paint but we repainted the whole building ourselves, fixed the plumbing in all buildings, and changed door locks & handles. We also donated some much need basic groceries for the centre.
